Kumawood actor, Akwesi Asamoah popularly known as Big Akwes was banned by the Film Producers Association of Ghana from shooting movies in Ghana for the next twenty four months after claiming that himself and his other colleagues in the Ghanaian movie industry sleep with actresses for roles, adding that whoever comes out to deny, he will curse him.


8. Prostitute begged for mercy after getting caught

The prostitute (name not known), was among a group of suspected prostitutes and robbers whom the police arrested during a swoop in Kumasi. The police, after the arrests – which were carried out at various parts of the city – invited the media to capture the suspects on camera.
They were about to be lined up for the journalists to take shots of them when the drama unfolded.
The suspected prostitute, light skinned, suddenly covered her face and broke into uncontrollable tears to the surprise of all present. She then knelt before Superintendent Frank Abrokwa, the Manhyia District Police Commander.
