Many musicians worldwide have had to go through several challenges in their career before making it to mainstream and perhaps becoming successful but same cannot be said of Ghanaian UK based musician and pioneer of the This Is New Africa #TINA movement Richard Abeona known widely as Fuse ODG who’s achievements are beyond his own imagination. A feat many would wish to achieve.

The world’s attention was drawn to Fuse ODG, a member of the “Off Da Ground Movement” after the release of his hit single Azonto and has since then not slept on this great song writer.

In an interview with NY DJ on Homestretch Bumper to Bumper on Kapital Radio in Kumasi, Fuse ODG stated he often got lost in his own thoughts anytime he looked back at the successes and what the future holds for him.

“There’s no way I could have come this way without my creator. God is involved in everything we have achieved. God has been so merciful to us and continues to grant us all the desires of our heart. My successes in terms of my hit singles don’t not make sense to the flesh. There is a spiritual force behind us which is God….. Of course, I may say I work hard but that does not make up. I just don’t even understand”

Fuse ODG for the past 2 years has been nominated and won several awards and recognitions worldwide. He scored one of the greatest feats as for the first time Antenna charted in the UK and marked the highest charting Afrobeats tune till now.

He was also the first African act to ever perform at the Music of Black Origin Awards MOBO where he won the MOBO award for Best African Act, won several awards at the urban music awards in the UK and also an award at the Ghana Music Awards.

Fuse ODG described 2013 as his craziest year yet in his musical year.
