Looks like Mr Eazi and Runtown are at each other for a while now. It all started when “Leg Over” singer, Mr Eazi claimed that he pioneered the Ghanaian-Nigerian fusion Afrobeats that Nigerian music artistes use now. Following her highly successful UK tour with all girl group GRRRL, Wiyaala resumes her own shows on Sunday 17th September when she will headline the 15th London African Music Festival launch party at Rich Mix in Bethnal Green Road, London. Africa’s best rapper standing, Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie, is not a registered member of Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), Fnnewsonline.com can confirm. Sarkodie made this crystal clear when he appeared on the most watched entertainment show ‘Pundit’ on GHOne TV with George Quaye as the host. The host George Quaye took the opportunity to ask Sarkodie if he is registered with GHAMRO and after several resiliencies, Sarkodie said NO. A 24-year old man, Charles Okoro has been arrested and charged before a Lagos court for allegedly stabbing his rival, Emeka Ojukwu to death at a popular night club over lover. The incident happened at Tanza nite club located at Bayo Oyewole Street, Ago area of Okota, Lagos. P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the suspect had disagreement with the victim over a woman during clubbing activities. The disagreement resulted in exchange of words and fighting between the duo. It was gathered that during the squabble, Okoro went to the club kitchen, brought out a knife and stabbed Ojukwu severally. The victim bled profusely and was rushed to a hospital where he eventually died. The corpse was deposited at the morgue for autopsy report. The club management held and handed Ojukwu over to the police at Ago Division who detained him at the cell after interrogation. The premises of Atinka Media Village almost turned into a boxing arena on Friday after renowned Prophet, Kumchacha, of the Heaven’s Gate Ministries threatened to beat up Reggae star, Ekow Micah. The swift intervention of staff of the popular media house prevented what could have been Ghana’s version of the Mayweather – McGregor bout. The near- physical confrontation followed a heated argument on Atinka FM’s “Edwuma oo” mid-morning show hosted by Roman Fada. The two gentlemen were guests on the show. The heated confrontation was sparked by claims by the “Aba” hit maker that there was nothing wrong with smoking marijuana and that Biblical accounts suggest that the Almighty God once smoked the banned substance. Veteran Ghanaian Film Producer, Oscar Provencal popular known as ‘Inspector Bediako’ has advised movie stars across the country to consider merging with the Nigerian Movie Industry in a ‘Collective Bargaining’ Agreement. Speaking to host Ibrahim Ben-Bako on Joy Prime’s Entertainment Review ‘Red Carpet’, he said the merger if carefully regulated will immensely uplift the face of the Ghanaian Movie Industry. “The collective bargaining agreement with the Nigerian Film Producers association needs to be fulfilled. Ghanaian and Nigerian Actors can come together to put it in place the framework to regulate procedures…” he explained.
