Alliance Initiative For Dev. Foundation,Saves the Akroma township

The Initiative Alliance for Development Foundation, a Christian based charity in collaboration with Mopp Upp Services inspired by  Mrs. Mavis Tachie donated assorted items valued at over GH¢4000.00 to the Akroma Community School in the Central Region of Ghana, located in the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa (AOB) District just some 10kilometres from the District Capital.


The community lacks lot  of developmental and  social  amenities like, health facilities,Roads,electricity,portable  market and portable drinking water. It was against this background ckeck  that the Initiative Alliance for Development Foundation headed by Christabel Antwi with her collaborators undertook the 3hours journey from Accra to offer a helping  hand  to the  less  futunate  ones


 The school which is managed by the Victory Ministry Network, a local NGO and  has 65 pupils of between three (3) to ten (10) years in the community , jointly put up by the John Amankwa Essel and the Network.

The team was accompanied by media personels  from Meridian 100.5fm,pastors and other church workers from the Church of Pentecost Tantra Hill Assembly and other local churches.

   Mrs. Mavis Tachie, a business woman and a philanthropist showed  lot of grattitude the efforts of the local NGO (Victory Ministry Network) headed by Elder John Amankwa Essel for doing his best to provide education to the children of Akroma at his own expense.The pupils pay GH20pesewas daily for their feeding and no school fee is charged.

She urged the parents to do all in their means to support the education of their children who are the future of every nation.She also advised them to put their faith and trust in God since He alone can bring total deliverance.

Mrs. M. Tachie called on other like-minded organizations and  media  houses  to come to the aid of the pupils of Akroma Community School to build a decent classroom block for them. She pledged her continuous support to the school, adding that it was unacceptable to walk bare foot to school at this time and age.
  
In a speech, Miss Christabel Antwi noted that, it was in line with her foundation’s vision of supporting people of all faiths, who really need help to have access to basic education, health and portable drinking water that the Akroma village was chosen for the support.She said it was unacceptable for her foundation to look away when it was so obvious that the people needed help.

In a chit chat with , Mr. Emmanuel Nana Yaw Obiri Yeboah said his organization will help provide portable drinking water to the community. He was concerned with the number of mentally retarded and blind children in the area.He said, Mopp Upp Services will send a team back to the community to help educate them on water and sanitation issues.

The Manager of the school Elder John Amankwa Essel thanked Initiative for Development Foundation, Mrs. M. Tachie and Mopp Upp Services for their timely interventions.

He said this is the first ever support he has received since he started his crusade since 1997 in the region.He urged them to continue to pursue their aim and visions of helping the less privileged in the society.

.The items presented included used clothing, shoes, school bags, soaps, bags of rice, books, pens, pencils, cooking oil among others.
