Sarkodie, Ice Prince, Becca & more thrill @ Ovation Red Carol & Awards nite
Ovation Red Carol (24)Ovation International Magazine hosted its second ‘Ovation Carol & Awards’ in on Saturday night and it will surely be remembered by patrons who were thrilled to a night of music, fashion and comedy.
The event, which was the 7th Edition of the special Christmas charity ball, featured performances by the wonderful Winneba Youth Choir, Stephanie Benson, Efya, Wiyaala, Trigmatic, MzVee, Sean Tizzle, No Tribe and more.
There was also a performance by Nigerian super star rapper, Ice Prince who brought in Sarkodie for a surprise performance which was clearly one of the biggest highlights on the night.
Other highlights included performances from veteran afro-fusion highlife legend, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, US-based Nigerian Opera singer, Abiodun Koya as well as and a runway presentation by top Nigerian fashion designer, Mudi.
The event which took place at the State Banquet Hall under the theme, ‘It’s all about hope’ was hosted Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) and Sika Osei.
Special awards were given out to deserving Ghanaians for their contributions in selected fields of endeavour. They included the first Ovation Hall of Fame induction for former President JJ Rawlings for his selfless leadership (the award was picked up by former first lady Nana Konadu Agyamang Rawlings), and a posthumous award to Kofi Ansah for his contribution to fashion (award was presented by former President J,A Kufuor to the family of Kofi Ansah). Other winners included supermodel, Victoria Michaels and Sara Nana Yeboah.
Sara is a young Social Entrepreneur, Corporate Nurse, Motivational Speaker who has also travelled across the length and breadth of Ghana with free health screenings, registering children unto the National Health Insurance Scheme, distributing free school uniforms, painting schools and library.
