Prez Mahama Please Forgive Kwaw Kese: He's Gone Through A Lot Already

I am not with the sin...but I am with the sinner who is already going through a lot in his life after the death of his manager, Fennec Okyere. Mr. President, please intervene and forgive Kwaw Kese.”

These were the words of Reverend Owusu Ansah when he appealed to the father of the land.

The Head of Religious Broadcast at Multimedia Group Limited and renowned preacher, Rev. Gabriel Yaw Owusu Ansah has noted that the behaviour by the controversial hiplife artiste, Kwaw Kese must not be justified but he prays he will be forgiven and set free.

Kwaw Kese affectionately called “Abodam” [Madness] in entertainment circles was arrested by police in Kumasi on Saturday, November 22 for allegedly smoking cannabis in public.

The court remanded him at the Kumasi Central Prison to reappear on Monday, December 8 after prosecutors argued that they were still investigating the matter.

Peacefmonline.com entertainment reporter, Eugene Osafo-Nkansah who was at the court said the Judge refused to grant Kwaw Kese aka “King of the Street” bail on the grounds that the use of narcotics is a non-bailable offence whiles the result of a test on the substance he was allegedly smoking before his arrest is not ready for court inspection.

Speaking on Adom FM, Rev. Gabriel Ansah of Nasem University who is passionately campaigning for Kwaw Kese to be released recalled how the beleaguered rapper had confessed to him how tormented his life is after the passing of his manager Fennec Okyere.

“During the burial service of his [Kwaw Kese] Manager [Fennec], he collapsed on the grave; I held his hand after everybody had left the place. He despondently told me that, ‘Pastor, I am going through a lot...so help me in prayers,” he said.

“..Kwaw Kese is now my son. I am pleading to the President and the Minister of Interior and the Ashanti Regional police commander to intervene and pardon the poor boy. I know he has learnt his lessons and surely he will be a changed person,” he added.

Rev. Owusu Ansah however admitted that “Kwaw Kese is a naughty boy. I will work on his life after this trial. I am very worried. I can’t eat because of Kwaw's situation now. I learnt where he is, it’s not the best of cells”.
