American Pop star, Lady Gaga has been banned from China after meeting with the Dalai Lama Sunday, June 26. American Pop star,  Lady Gaga  has been banned by China for meeting with the Dalai Lama. Gaga, 30, interviewed the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader Sunday, June 26 during the US Conference of Mayors in Indianapolis for a discussion on the need for kindness and compassion. This angered China’s propaganda department so they issued what’s being called "an important instruction" banning any mention of the  "Til It Happens To You"  hitmaker from party-controlled news outlets, as well as taken down her artistic works on Chinese websites. This is not the first time she has been banned from the country. In 2011, she was banned from the country after she released  "Born This Way"  -- a restriction which was only lifted in 2014. Other musicians such as  Selena Gomez ,  Björk ,  Bon Jovi , Maroon 5 , and  Oasis  have been banne...

New reports are floating around that Canadian rapper Drake has started filming the video for his hit single, ‘One Dance’ in South Africa. Drizzy is reportedly in the African country to shoot the visuals for the Wizkid and Kyla-assisted song, with none of the featured acts in sight. Photos and clips of Drake’s time in SA have started making rounds, with the rapper himself updating his Instagram with photo of crew, Material Culture, who are part of the ‘izikhothane’ dance-battle movement by black youth in South Africa’s townships. While Drake confirmed he was actually in the country, no confirmation has been given as to whether he is having a video shoot there or not. However, some excited South African fans have hinted that might be the case. #DrakeInSA – find out what @drake had to say the the Nelson Mandla Centre of Memory.. #Drake pic.twitter.com/p5ABMXbZ26 Nontobeko Sibisi (@Nontobek0Sibisi) June 27, 2016 Drake this morning with some fans on the set of “One Dance”...

Wiz Khalifa played 20 Questions with Playboy (which no longer features nudity, BTW), and made interesting comments about his issues with Kanye West and his “Bieber”-like growthas an artist. First, on why he checked ‘Ye. THAT WAS A WEIRD SITUATION, BECAUSE IT WAS SOMETHING I WOULD DO IN REAL LIFE. ALL I DID WAS SPEAK MY MIND. I’M A MAX B FAN, AND IF ME AND KANYE WERE IN A ROOM AND HE SAID, “YO, I’MMA NAME MY ALBUMWAVES,” I’D BE LIKE, “DON’T DO THAT. YOU’RE NOT ALLOWED TO DO THAT.” NOBODY REALLY DOES THAT THESE DAYS. NOBODY CHECKS NIGGAS LIKE, “NAH, NIGGA.” NO ONE IS ABOVE BEING SPOKEN TO, AND IF YOU’VE GOT REAL FRIENDS, THEY’LL TELL YOU HOW THEY FEEL. THAT’S HOW I HANDLE ALL MY SITUATIONS IN REAL LIFE. EVEN IF I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH SOMEBODY, I’M NOT GONNA ADVERTISE IT. WE CAN GO AROUND THE CORNER AND WE CAN REALLY DO IT. BUT ALL IN FRONT OF PEOPLE? THAT’S NOT ME. NIGGAS TALK SHIT EVERY DAY, AND NIGGAS SAY SHIT ABOUT MY EX, NIGGAS SAY SHIT ABOUT MY KID. IT’S ALL GOOD. THERE’S CO...

And it is during these campaigns and election period that some politicians  take advantage of naïve, desperate and ill-informed individuals, who are mostly the youth to do their dirty works, such as disrupting political rallies, destroying posters and voting procedures and other social vices. In a statement, this is what Buddaman had to say, “I have witnessed several elections in this country, Ghana and most of the time some politician will use money, cars and promises to lur...

FOKN Bois just jumped on the Hobo Truffles instrumental compilation and the rest is history! Fans have been keeping up with the duo persistently, waiting for yet another dope pack of sounds merging the two voices which together add the necessary spice to pitch Ghanaian hip hop to that acme it deserves. FOKN Dunaquest in Budapest EP shook through sound boxes and melted ear wax in April, 2011.  Ten months later, the duo known for their satiric twist with music that mostly touches on socio-political issues released FOKN Wit Ewe. In the midst of the stiff-stale smack set of cliché themes being used in music from this space and the myriad of ‘flashy’ music data dying out quicker than one could say ‘eh’, FOKN Bois write works which are nothing like the everyday tunes- digging rhythms like black gold for the Ghana streets and beyond as well as lifting the bar on each stroke.        Album cover If you’re yet to catch the vibe, it’s not too late to join the tr...
