American Pop star, Lady Gaga has been banned by China for meeting with the Dalai Lama.

Gaga, 30, interviewed the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader Sunday, June 26 during the US Conference of Mayors in Indianapolis for a discussion on the need for kindness and compassion.
This angered China’s propaganda department so they issued what’s being called "an important instruction" banning any mention of the "Til It Happens To You" hitmaker from party-controlled news outlets, as well as taken down her artistic works on Chinese websites.

This is not the first time she has been banned from the country. In 2011, she was banned from the country after she released "Born This Way" -- a restriction which was only lifted in 2014.

Other musicians such as Selena GomezBjörkBon Jovi,Maroon 5, and Oasis have been banned from China. Many of these artistes have found themselves there after expressing support in one form or another for the Dalai Lama, a man China views as a dangerous separatist bent on launching a theocracy in the region of Tibet
