The two Cash Money titans had a bond that seemed more powerful than your run-of-the-mill rapper/CEO relationship, with their father/son dynamic even birthing an album of its own earlier in the 2000s, and a sense of loyalty that seemed out-of-character for Birdman, at least when you considered his relationships with other Cash Money artists. But what began as a label-related rift between them has now spiraled into a situation that includes delayed albums, multi-million dollar suits, and most recently, an alleged murder plot. The first photos for the upcoming film ‘Southside With You’ recently surfaced on the web. The photos feature Tika Sumpter and Parker Sawyers who play a younger Barack and Michele Obama. The movie is inspired by the first date the couple went on and chronicles time and events leading up to their wedding. The film ‘Southside With You’ directed by Richard Tanne began production at the beginning of this month. With effect from Friday, August 21, 2015, Ghanaians are expected to start paying the new television licensing fees. This was announced by the National Media Commission (NMC). The fee for domestic owners of television has been increased from GH30pesewas to GHC36 for a year.  However, two or more television attracts GHC60. Chairman of the Commission, Ambassador Kabral Blay Amihere said dealers in television sets will pay GH¢5 per month while commercial license users will pay GH¢3 per month for one television set. An amateur diver out for an expedition off the coast of Norfolk recently stumbled upon an exciting ecological find less than 300 yards from shore. The diver, Dawn Watson, was swimming in just over 20 feet of water when she came upon massive tree trunks lying on the ocean floor, some with branches spanning over 26 feet, Reuters reported . Scientists say that the wood, which is believed to be oak, is the remainder of a lush prehistoric forest that thrived on the spot over 10,000 years ago.

I have actually heard many people talk about last Tuesday’s All Star Unity Concert which happened at the Accra Sports Stadium. Many of them are saying it was a flopped concert – I cannot confirm or deny it because I don’t know the angle they are taking it from. Is it from attendance or the performances from the artistes? I want you to be the judge so follow me as I review the show. It was never in the plans of Becca to organise a concert on June 30 this year but the unfortunate incident that happened on June 3 in Accra made her plan on organising something to generate cash for the victims. Did Becca and the musicians who performed at the event get something which will help these victims of the flood as they planned? I kept asking myself this question as soon as I stepped foot at the Accra Sports Stadium on June 30. This question hurriedly came in mind when I saw few people at the stadium who were there to witness the event. Truth be told, the crowd was very very discouraging.
