Politicians Stay away from the youth – Buddaman
In just a couple of days, all the Ghanaian political parties will start serious campaigning to be elected into office as part of 2016 November general election.
And it is during these campaigns and election period that some politicians take advantage of naïve, desperate and ill-informed individuals, who are mostly the youth to do their dirty works, such as disrupting political rallies, destroying posters and voting procedures and other social vices.
After witnessing several elections, and how a lot of youths got caught up in bad political activities during campaigns and the Election Day itself, the multiple talented musicians Buddaman, has sent a strong message to the youth and most importantly the politicians as campaigns and election activities are about to kick off across the country.
In a statement, this is what Buddaman had to say,
“I have witnessed several elections in this country, Ghana and most of the time some politician will use money, cars and promises to lure the youth into doing their dirty works for them.
These unaware young once end up in political gang fights, being arrested and in some worse cases dead.
The funny thing is the politicians apart from failing to fulfill their promise after the election, they also neglect the youth when they get into to trouble with the law whiles doing their dirty work.
I would like tell the youth is time they wake up and stay focused and say no to being used by politicians for their evil deeds during political campaigns and election.
Yes, they can take part in the election by voting and supporting their favorite candidate but not getting involved in any bad political actions.
And to the politicians who intend to use the youth for their evil deeds, stay away from the youth if you have nothing better to offer than your fake promises, troubles and lies because me and my grew won’t allow it.
We will educate the youth and open their eyes and minds to your lies and trickery.”
Buddaman also disclosed he intends to start a series of social activities and educating the youth on a peaceful election is one of them.
