2015 Kumawood Awards gets postponed for the second time!

The annual Kumawood Akoben Film Festival Awards (KAFF) which was postponed to the 16th of January 2016, due to some reasons has been rescheduled to the 23rd of January 2016.
The KAFF awards which is an awards scheme organized by Samdakus Initiatives in partnership with Adom TV of the Multimedia Group Ltd is to reward our local or Akan actors at the end of every year for the good work they do as they promote Ghana’s culture with their movies.
Speaking on the Nkawkaw based radio station Obuoba 91.7 yesterday during their entertainment show,The president of the Awards scheme,Mr Samuel Darko(Samdakus) said he apologize for the delay or postponement of the Awards and that there are reasons for that. He further explained that the trophies which were suppose to have gone out to the deserving winners had a little problem with the inscriptions on them therefore arrangements for new trophies caused the delay of the show.
Nevertheless, the delay in last year’s show which is coming off this year isn’t in anyway going to affect this year’s event since forms for nominations will be out in October.

We are in our fifth year since the inception of this awards scheme and by God’s grace everything has been in order. We do this every year so as to spice up the cordial and family-like relationship between our actors”.

The awards scheduled on the 23rd of this month will see performance from some prominent Ghanaian musicians as well as the presence of our very own Kumawood stars.
