2015 MTV Africa Music Awards Live on GOtv,‏ Saturday July 18, 2015

Celebrating the evolution of African musicians by recognizing contemporary artists and trailblazers across a range of music and lifestyle categories, the MTV Africa Music Awards KwaZulu-Natal 2015 sponsored by KwaZulu-Natal in association with Absolut Vodka and in partnership with The City of Durban, will take place at the Durban International Convention Centre on Saturday 18 July 2015
The MTV Africa Music Awards Kwa Zulu-Natal 2015 is to honour the best musical talent across the continent. See who walks away with the converted award Africa’s biggest night in music. Competing in the prestigious Best Male act category are AKA (South Africa), Davido (Nigeria), Diamond (Tanzania) and Sarkodie (Ghana), while female artists making their mark in the Best Female category include Bucie (SA), Busiswa (SA), Seyi Shay (Nigeria), Vanessa Mdee (Tanzania) and Yemi Alade (Nigeria). In the Best Collaboration category, where AKA, Burna Boy, Da LES & JR compete against Davido featuring Uhuru & DJ Buckz (Nigeria/SA), Toofan & DJ Arafat (Togo/Ivory Coast), Diamond & Iyanya (Kenya/Nigeria), and Stanley Enow & Sarkodie  (Cameroon/Ghana).

Actor, producer, comedic genius and all-round funnyman Anthony Anderson is to host the MTV Africa Music Awards KwaZulu-Natal 2015 (MAMA), MTV Base’s flagship awards ceremony.
Anderson follows in the footsteps of previous MAMA hosts Marlon Wayans (2014), Eve (2010), Wyclef Jean (2009) and Trevor Nelson (2008).
Performers at MAMA 2015 include 2Face, AKA, Big Nuz, Black Motion, Bucie, Cassper Nyovest, Da LES, Davido, Diamond Platnumz, DJ Fisherman, DJ Tira, Jhené Aiko, NaakMusiQ, NE-YO, Toofan, Wizkid, Yemi Alade and Young Thug.

The MTV Africa Music Awards KwaZulu-Natal 2015 will broadcast live across Africa on MTV Base (GOtv channel 72) on Saturday, 18 July at 7:00pm GMT.
