BLAST FROM CHALE WOTE STREET FESTIVAL 2014

Maybe International Conferences have been banned, but not Accra's great Chale Wote Street Festival ,the much awaited street festival started great with massive turn out  at james town  in Accra last Saturday 24 August....Actually, I could only spend 3hours (may be even less) at the Chale Wote Festival and I was really thrilled to be there.

According to this poster it is on today too. Unfortunately, I cannot be there because I am on my way to Nija. Thanks for reading and see you soon :).

It was inspiring to be saturated in such a creative environment where kids educate people about the EBOLA and Chorela  epidemic, with their art w.I call this  real talent..

I've read a lot about light house in James town that used to provide light for the whole of Accra but i never thought I'd run into one till yesterday.

The masqueraders were cool to see again. They've become every bit a part of Ghanaian culture.

ART AND CRAFT...This  tells you how much Fun it was  at the CHALE WOTE festival

this one of my Favorite art work  By Friends art...Its politically inclined ..Take a look at the pic and you see tears dripping down the face of a  boy, same  time you can see the Ghanaian map and  at the heard of it, has vultures are eating from it..This just talk about how corruption is doing more harm to our economy and country as a whole.....

This event have also featured large art installations and photography displays, as well as live music, DJ sets and theatre and spoken word performances.

Give your own meaning, paint your own world, for it will be just perfect in your eyes when you learn to understand how you choose to see it

Artists took to James Town’s streets for this vibrant Chale Wote festival that spans acrylic street painting, pencil work, side walk painting, chalk art and vast graffiti murals.

It was nice seeing Panji and his team make a classic African studio in front of street.

One of these kids threw a stone that unfortunately landed on the head of some poor dude and it would have been great if professional help had been seconds away; and considering that a lot of the young guys pull off stunts that are actually extremely dangerous,

The event is free, but spend money on the delicious street food and fashion items for sale.

The festival features over 200 local and international artists creating new installations and performances over a two-day period. CHALE WOTE is free and open to the public.
One of the best events of the year - the artwork on display is amazing, the music is energizing and the artistic buzz is unforgettable.
