Ghanaian gospel musician, Obaapa Linda has expressed her disappointment in some of her colleague artistes who charge huge amount of money before rendering a performance during gospel shows and in churches. According to Obaapa, she is ready to kick start a campaign, "Operation Perform for Free” across Ghana just to create awareness about her readiness to give her all as a payback to God. Miss Belvy Ofori, Miss Tourism 2014, would on March 5 hold on a public lecture amidst games to empower young women in the country. In a statement signed by Mr Victor Kwame Kafui Ativie, Events Manager of S-Prima and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said the objective of the event is to bring young women together, empower them, and create a platform of fun and relaxation for the young women. Alice Violet Mutumba “AVM” has been in the entertainment industry since the age of 6 years, starting as a child TV star in her beloved Uganda.  She moved to London, England at the age of 8. Controversial musician, Wanlov Da Kubolor says unlike some pastors who charge money before consultation, his father is just the opposite. According to him, he expected his father to charge money before consultation and be rolling in riches, but he is 'not a smart pastor’. Wanlov made the claim when he spoke to Ohemaa Woyeje on Adom FM’s mid morning show 'Work and Happiness' on Thursday. According to the singer, “As a business man and a pastor my dad has to take money before praying for any of his church members because churches that take money from members before helping them in prayers are the churches who receive more people always” he stated. Basing his decision to resign from HitzFM after eight years with the station on no long being ‘inspired’, it was however speculated he took such an action cos the station failed to support him during his controversial encounter with parliament after he allegedly claimed 80% of MP’s smoked marijuana hence it should be legalized. An artiste striped ‘naked’ in my studio – EL

Music producer, EL has revealed that a Ghanaian artiste stripped almost naked during one of his recording sessions. Recounting some of the most interesting moments during recording sessions with some artiste, the rapper said that encounter was the weirdest so far. He recounted, during an interview on the Super Morning Show on Joy FM with Kojo Yankson Friday, that some artistes request for private recording sessions and some of these tend to be very weird and interesting. The producer, who is also a rapper, said he was shocked when an artiste - refusing to reveal his identity of the person - requested to strip almost naked leaving only his underwear to record. According to him, the said musician said he could only record with no clothes on except his underwear. He had no option but grant the request. Asked how that session went and whether the finished product was good, EL, born Elom Adablah, said he couldn't tell if the act in any way made the finished product better.

With major museums in London and New York showcasing leading contemporary African artists this summer, and Angola's recent success at the Biennale in Venice, is the world of art finally putting Africa on its map? Ghanaian sculptor El Anatsui is among the most celebrated contemporary African artists at the moment. Among his most iconic pieces are sculptures made from thousands of bottle tops, strung together with copper wire to form enormous shimmering sheets, which undulate and fold into different shapes. Mr Anatsui's installations are currently on display at the Brooklyn Museum of Art in New York - one of the few solo exhibitions of an African artist at a big institution in the United States in the last few decades. "El Anatsui's career has taken on a meteoric rise," says Kevin Dumouchelle the curator of the exhibition. "At the beginning he was regarded as the best contemporary artist in Africa, but he made a leap and has become a global artist.

Kendrick Yehowade, CEO of the entertainment house is out leveling serious accusation against the “Kakai” hitmaker.
