Working on assignment for Amnesty International, the celebrated photographer was fatally injured during an al-Qaeda attack on an international hotel in Ougadougou, Burkina Faso, on Friday. Leila Alaoui, the 33-year-old French-Moroccan photographer, died last night as a result of injuries sustained during Friday’s al-Qaeda terrorist attack in Burkina Faso, along with her driver, Mahamadi Ouédraogo, a father of four. Alaoui was working on assignment on women’s rights issues for Amnesty International. The human rights organisation and French culture and communications minister Fleur Pellerin both confirmed her death this morning. Legendary highlife musician, Abrantie Amakye Dede, has denied media reports that he bought his new Toyota Tundra with customised number plate (Yesu Nti) after the death of his manager Isaac Yeboah. Iron Boy, as he’s affectionately called, told BEATWAVES in an interview yesterday that he bought the Toyota Tundra some months back and it was parked in his house until he decided to register it in January. Abrantie Amakye Dede, who is still recuperating from an accident that claimed the life of his manager, disclosed that “I bought the vehicle some months ago. I am surprised that a section of the media is speculating that I bought the vehicle after the death of my manager. I only registered the vehicle this year.” He advised the media and Ghanaians to desist from acts that seek to undermine the credibility of innocent people, adding that his doors are open to journalists who want to interview him about the accident, among others.

Waka Flocka  thinks all of Cosby's damning accusations are part of a huge conspiracy.  The most highly publicized event of last week was the arrest of Bill Cosby. The 78-year-old television icon was charged with three counts of aggravated assault stemming from a 2004 incident when he allegedly drugged and sexually violated Andrea Constand -- one of at least 50 women to accuse Cosby of sexual assault. Though Cosby was immediately released on $1 million bail, many viewed his arrest as a victory for all the women whose attacks had previously gone unpunished. Not Waka Flocka, who feels "somebody is framing Bill Cosby."  After the controversial tweet, author and professor Roxane Gay responded to Waka by telling the Atlanta rapper to "stop feeling." Amakye Dede and his entourage were reportedly going for a show when a vehicle rammed into their parked vehicle. According to an eyewitness, the highlife great was changing in his car ahead of his performance when the motor accident occurred. He said a cab driver overtook the bus and in an attempt to avoid a head on crash, the driver veered off into the vehicle of the musician. The accident occurred close to Osino, after the popular Paradise Filling Station. The artiste and his bodyguard sustained severe injuries and are receiving treatment at the Osiem Government Hospital. Yeboah, who passed away, was the editor of the tabloid P&P.
