‘BEASTS OF NO NATION’ STARRING ABRAHAM ATTAH, IDRIS ELBA, AMA K. ABEBRESE PREMIERES IN GHANA DECEMBER 11

Critically acclaimed movie ‘Beasts of No Nation’ will premiere at the SilverBird Cinemas, West Hills Mall on Friday December 11,  livefmghana.com  can report. Ghana’s Abraham Attah played the lead role of Agu, who when civil war tears his family apart, is forced to join a unit of mercenary fighters and transformed into a child soldier. He won  Marcello Mastroianni Award  for  Best Young Actor  at Venice Film Festival 2015, and is also nominated for ‘Best Supporting Male’ at the 2015 Spirit Awards. Agu (Abraham Attah) with parents (Ama K. Abebrese and Kobina Sam) in the movie ‘Beasts of No Nation Idris Elba played the commander of the mercenary unit. The movie premiered on  Netflix  and in selected Theaters in The United States of America  on  October 16. it was screened at number of prestigious film festivals including Venice, BFI London and Toronto International Film Festival.

After a highly successful 2015, he told  TrueAfrica  in an interview, he can’t give specific details of the exact release as at now. “Next album! I can’t give you the exact date but it’s definitely going to be out next year so you keep an eye out for it. Most of the album has been written on the road so it’s something I’m looking forward to.” Ever wondered where he gets the inspiration to write his songs? “I have always looked up to artists like Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Wyclef Jean and Michael Jackson. Music is not just about the songs; it’s also about the message you put in it. And these guys did it the best.” he told the publication.
