BIG 30 CLUB DONATES TO IMATES AT NSWAM PRISONS

Big 30 fun club an Accra-based humanitarian non-governmental organisation (NGO) on Thursday made a visit to the inmates and  also presented assorted items for the upkeep of inmates of the Nsawam Medium Prisons, at Nsawam in the Eastern Region. The items included; soft drinks, boxes of biscuits, used clothing, sanitary wares, toiletries, slippers and other consumables. Mr Tawia Augustine, the President of BIG 30 club said the donation was to show love, give hope to the inmates and help relieve them of insufficient logistics that they had He said the visit was also to support street boys mothers and fathers serving jail terms. Mr Augustine said the BIG 30 established in 2014, sought to bridge the gap between poverty. He said the organisation offer love and assistance every year to the newly born babies in Achimota hospital  and supports to children and motherless babies , especially the orphans in deprived communities. A J who was happy to have heard the news, tweeted: “Omg the secret is out, I’m also crushing on u right back booo @KuamiEugene.” Kwami was asked in an interview on ‘Coded with K Bonah’ who his celebrity crush was and in his response mentioned AJ Sarpong. “Do you know AJ Sarpong? Award winning musician, Davido, has broken the silence on Caroline Danjuma’s allegations of him killing his friend, Tagbo. Actress Caroline, had on Tuesday taken to instagram to accuse the Omo Baba Olowo crooner dumping his friend, Tagbo’s body in a hospital after he had died in davido’s car. However, Davido has responded via his Snap Chat account that God knows what truly happened. I believe that contemporary African artists are faced with an enormous challenge right now that has exactly to do with the fact that they are 'African', existing in a global situation that currently appears to promote artists as worthy of recognition only if they comply with Western convention and parameters. The task at hand is for their work to be seen as authentically contemporary; 'of the now' without the expectations and assumptions of the viewer diminishing the interpretation and therefore the intrinsic value of those artworks.
